HP 7510 Excellent Printer…. Outrageous Price Of Cartridges

The HP 7510 printer is really quite nice. The AirPrint and ePrint options are really handy and comparatively easy to use. The printer set-up (2 Apple computers and a couple of Windows computers) was somewhat difficult.

The Apple computers had to travel through the web to get the software/drivers (don’t use the discs that came with the computer)…. follow the directions sheet. one amongst the Windows computers (running Windows 7) was set-up with the included set-up disc, but the older Windows laptop (running Vista) could not successfully load the driver/software.

instead of influence Vista problems/issues, I chose to simply not load the printer drivers/software on the older machine (maybe i am going to get to it in the near future…. but the older machine is not used abundant and i have a Brother laser printer that the machine will access.

The photo output from HP 7510  is amazing. The operation is relatively quiet, with typical hums and noises, but not annoying.

The only draw back is the cost of replacement ink cartridges. a complete set of 5 XL cartridges can run just below $100. OUTRAGEOUS! but, the colors and print quality is admittedly very good. an alternate is to buy/use remanufactured or compatible cartridges, however you will need to surrender the printer’s ability to observe ink levels.
