When shopping aournd for inkjet printer cartridges on the internet bear in mind that postage can significantly add to the overall cost of a a single inkjet cartridge. In some instances the cost of postage can be as much as the cost of the inkjet printer cartridge which can effectively double the price that you end up paying. While this is still frequently less expensive as well as more convenient than going to your local office supply store or news agent to purchase your inkjet cartridges it is not actually the best way to maximise your shopping experience.

Buying things on the internet can save you a lot of money and printer ink is no different. Because they have less overhead than a traditional store, often with no physical location to pay for, many internet retailers can sell for quite a bit less.

The drawback to this, of course, is that you can’t go and look or test something before you buy it. If you’re buying the original brand of cartridges for your printer, this doesn’t really matter since they will be the same no matter where you buy them.

If you’re buying discount cartridges, however, there could be a big difference in print quality from one brand to another. Not being able to see a sample of the results ahead of time might make it harder to know which ones you can rely on.

The most important thing to check when buying your ink on the internet is what kind of guarantee they offer. Reliable ink companies will give you a full money-back guarantee in case you’re not happy with the results.

The guarantee should cover you whether there is actually something wrong with the cartridge (eg. it won’t print) or if you’re simply not happy with the results.

Because print quality is partly a matter of taste, what some people consider perfectly fine might not meet your standards. If that’s the case, you want to be sure you can return the ink and get your money back.

Another thing to watch for is compatibility information. Different brands and models of printers use slightly different types of ink, and you need to be sure your cartridges are compatible with your particular printer.

Many discount ink companies offer a generic “one-size-fits-all” ink that they claim will work in any printer. This just isn’t possible, and these generic types of ink usually don’t work very well in any printer.

The best companies have specific cartridges or refills for each brand and model, and they will make it clear which ones are compatible for any given cartridge.

The majorithy of modern printers are produced to work with specific kinds of ink, and if you utilze a slightly different ink within the cartridge it can have a large effect on the printer quality. When you do to refill the ink, it appears simple enough; either 3 colors (blue, red, yellow) or simply in black. There is a vast difference, nevertheless, in black from one type of ink compared to another and even more so with inks that are in color.

You can get just as good results by buying your ink online – while saving a lot of money – but be sure to check the website against these tips so you’ll get the results you want.

Non Print Head Cartridges These are just a plastic box full of ink – sometimes with an electronic chip mounted on it. These ink cartridges fit into a print head inside the printer and are typically used by Brother, Canon (but not always see above) and Epson.

Do you ever feel that you are paying way too much for computer printer ink cartridges? It is amazing that now some computer printer peripheral manufacturers are now giving away their printers when you buy a new computer. Why you ask? Simple really, because at $33.00 per printer refill cartridge they will be making money off you for the life of your printer; consider if you will that their cost to make the printer cartridge is probably around a buck or two.

Just the other day I happened into a Dollar Tree Store and found re-fill cartridges that worked on my HP Printer and the cost was $1.00 and I thought well, I should buy 10. So I did and my cost savings is about $320.00 for my next 10 re-fill. Or if I bought regular re-fill kits at $15.00 then my savings would be $140.00 and that is quite a bit of savings.

Now then, if a company can sell the ink re-fill kit to the Dollar Store for $.50 and they are making 50% profit then they are producing it all for about $.25 to $.35 and the Dollar Tree also makes a profit. So, if the re-fill ink manufacturer is making a 50% gross profit at that low price, then one would assume that the $15.00 ink re-fill kits are making somewhere between 1000 to 1500% profit; sounds like the Health Care Industry?

Consider what you will be printing before setting your budget. You already own the printer so other than the actual art work or photograph, the paper you choose will have the biggest impact on the quality of your final product.

Perhaps we are all in the wrong business and yet if the ink re-fill companies are making 1500% profit imagine what the company is making at $33.00 for a new ink cartridge? Folks you and I, well we might all be in the wrong business it seems? I hope you find all my articles interesting topics of conversation to propel thought in 2007.

Buyin a replacement printer ink cartfridge for the typical consumer printer can end up being pretty expensive so numerous consumers are turning their attentiona and their money to the option of compatable inkjet refill kits. A high quality compatable printer ink cartridge is frequently less of a cast then a an ink cartridge produced from the manufacturer. The majority of compatable printer inks provide the same exact print quality (sometimes even a little better) as manufacturer cartridges. Compatable printer inks are a smart money savings choice for those that are looking to buy a consumer printer on a budget.

In this day and age there are some items we simply can’t do without. And while we may take their presence for granted, the second we no longer have them is the second we realize how much we need them. Take for instance printer ink; that which fuels our computer printers and gives us our letters, photos, reports, homework – you name it. Handwritten documents are a thing of the past. Today everything we do is on the computer and without the necessary printer ink to bring them into the world, we would be lost.

Printer ink is encapsulated within the printer and, when called upon, delivers both black and colored ink onto the paper. Replacing the printer ink is something that has to be done periodically and, all told, can be one of the biggest expenses associated with a computer printer. Depending on your printer’s ink consumption – largely contingent on its role as a frequently used work printer or a minimally used home printer – you could be spending quite a bit of money on a regular basis.

Finding quality printer ink that won’t break the bank can be a bit of a challenge. First and foremost, lower quality printer ink can clog your printer and ultimately cause it to malfunction. Any savings you receive purchasing printer ink of this kind would be lost in the expense of having to repair or replace your printer.

Begin by going straight to the printer manufacturer. The company will have a vested interest in upholding the standards of their brands so you know that the printer ink will be the quality best suited for your printer. Often you will find they offer a variety of discounts to owners of their particular printers; look for frequent sales as well.

Large retail computer supply stores are another great resource for finding printer ink. You may find periodic deals that will save you some money. Just be sure that you visit the store with the name, brand, and associated number of the printer ink that is compatible for your printer; you will save quite a bit of time this way.

The avenues for recycling printer cartridges are large, and they do good business. Most organizations dispose of used cartridges that add to the garbage build up. An easier solution is to approach the proper recycling companies and deliver the cartridges to them for recycling. The Internet is a good source to find the recyclers. These companies gather a sufficient number of cartridges before processing them. Large firms are capable of renovating the disposed printer cartridges and converting them into a high-quality product of any nature.

Of course, the Internet also has access to a variety of deals on printer ink. Just be sure that the company you are dealing with is reputable and the printer ink you are purchasing is of quality.

Printer ink is literally the fuel that enables your printer to do its job. Keep your supply stocked and ready to go at all times!
